BAKIRDAN e-journal


A New Electronic Journal from CIU: “BAKIRDAN”

An e-journal named “BAKIRDAN” is published by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Cyprus International University (CIU).

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mihrican Aylanç made explanations about the e-journal and stated that she is the editor of the journal.  Asst. Prof. Dr. Aylanç explained that the content of the e-journal is more about literature, culture and art. She added that it aims to bring together writers, poets and artists from CIU’s academic staff and students, the entire island, Turkey and from a broader spectrum with more universal expansions and it is published annually.

Aylanç "We undertake the mission of keeping the literature and art on the agenda in our island."  Dr. Mihrican Aylanç, Lecturer and the editor of the journal with the publication “ BAKIRDAN” e-journal, they aim to deliver successful examples of theoretical training processes in practice to art and literature environment.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mihrican Aylanç said that “In the coming issues, we create investigation files to investigate the current situation and problems of our literature-culture and art so that we try to keep literature and art on the agenda.” She said with “ BAKIRDAN” it is aimed to contribute to university-community relations with North Cyprus based artistic productions.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mihrican Aylanç emphasized that the journal’s mission is to bring together competent artistic products. Asst. Prof. Dr. Aylanç said that “Our students who are part of an academic discipline, artistic productions related to their fields, we have created undefined happiness for us as educators.” She also said that our main aim and hope is that “These first steps will mature over the time and will be transferred into higher-level products in the future.”

Aylanç said that within the scope of collective service delivery principles and activities to the community, this journal will give a place besides important arts and culture people to students during our university’s 20th year anniversary.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mihrican Aylanç Lecturer of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts and Sciences said  “We are delighted to be able to reach a wide audience with our e-journal as it is published on the faculty website of our university that can be reached from http://www.ciu.edu.tr/tr/akademik/fakulteler/fen-edebiyat-fakultesi/bolumler/turk-dili-ve-edebiyati/bakirdan-e-dergi.

First of all, we would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, who provided us with this opportunity and who has always encouraged extracurricular activities, our valuable artists who contribute to our magazine with their products, our students, our academicians. We wish our university a long and successful year anniversary.”
