Özet
Etnik kimlik ve ulus devlet kavramları, politik söylem içinde tartışıldığı için, etnik kimlik konusu politik bağlama dayandırılarak ele alınmaktadır. Son yıllarda azınlıklar meselesinin daha çok konuşulur hale gelmesi, aidiyet, toplumsal bellek ve etnik kimlik sorunsalının da konuşulur hale gelmesini sağlamıştır. Sosyal ve politik alandaki kimlik tartışmaları kendini sinemada da göstermiştir. Ülkemizde sinema gösteriminin gerçekleştiği ilk yıllardan bu yana yapılan pek çok filmde etnik kimlik temsiline yer verilmektedir. Yeşilçam filmleri incelendiğinde bu temsillerin genellemeler ve önyargılarla sunulduğu görülmektedir. Günümüzde soyut ve genel yaklaşımlardan sıyrılarak tamamen farklı bakış açısı yakalamaya çalışan yönetmenler de mevcuttur. 2000’li yıllarda çekilen Bulutları Beklerken ve yine 2000’li yıllarda çekilen Güz Sancısı filmleri azınlıkların temsil sorunu üzerinde bir kez daha düşünmemizi sağlamaktadır. Bulutları Beklerken filmi anadilinden ve ailesinden koparılan kadın karakterin, Türk ve Müslüman çoğunluk karşısında gündelik hayatını nasıl kurduğuna odaklanırken; Güz Sancı filmi ülkemizde tarihsel süreç içinde Rumların hayatını tamamen değiştiren politik olaylara odaklanmaktadır.
