Özet
Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu roman, öykü ve tiyatro gibi farklı türlerde eserler vermiş önemli bir yazardır. Özellikle Mütareke ve Kurtuluş Savaşı yıllarından itibaren tanık olduğu sosyal meselelerin tesiri ile toplumsal dönüşümün aktarımına ağırlık veren yazar, savaş yıllarında çeşitli görevlerle Anadolu’da farklı şehirlerde gözlem yapma imkânı bulur ve tanık olduğu manzaraları kendi imgelemi aracılığıyla kurmacaya dönüştürür. Bu çalışmada belleğin yansıtılma biçimlerine odaklanarak ele alınan Millî Savaş Hikâyeleri’nde, düşman işgali ve sonrasında karakterlerin uğradıkları zulüm nedeni ile bilinçte yaşanan kırılma ve yitimlerin aktarımı incelenmektedir. Öykülerde yitim deneyimi aktarılırken değişip dönüşen benliğin şekillenmesinde varoluşsal bir unsur olarak dilin gücü ön plandadır. Çalışmada ele alınan öykülerde tarih, kimlik ve belleğe dair unsurların dilsel bileşenler ile ilişkisine dikkat çekilmektedir.
Millî Savaş Hikâyeleri’nde yer alan trajik öyküler, hem bireylerin hem de toplumun hatırlama ve unutma pratiklerine ışık tutan öznel deneyimlerin ifadesidir. Geçmişe takılıp kalma, dün’ün arayışı ve özlemi, yitirilmiş olanın yokluğunu kabullenememe, özbeni ve çevresi ile iletişim kuramama gibi durumlar nasıl anlatısallaşılır? Belleğin canlılığı, kırılmaları ve aldatıcılığı öykülere nasıl yansır? Karakterler bellekte depolanan bilgileri çağırırken travmalar onların hatırlama ve unutma edimlerini nasıl etkiler? Bu soruların yanıtları araştırılırken yazarın geçmiş zaman, hâl ve gelecek zaman zincirine dair yaklaşımı irdelenmektedir.

Abstract
Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu is a significiant writer who produced works in different genres such as novels, stories and theatre. Particularly with the effect of the social issues that he witnessed the Armistice and the War of Independence, the author focuses on the narrating social transformation. During the war years, he had the opportunity to make observations in different cities in Anatolia with various missions, and transformed the landscapes that he witnessed into fiction through his own imagination. In the “National War Stories”, this study involves focusing on the ways of reflection of memory, the narration of the fractures and losses stemming from the persecution of the characters’ consciousness of the characters subsequent to enemy invasion was investigated. The power of language, as an existential element in the formation of the changing and transforming selfness, is in the frontline while narrating the experiences regarding the losses in the stories. The stories in this study, point out the relationship of the elements of history, identity, and memory with linguistic components.
Tragic stories in the book named “National War Stories” are the expressions of subjective experiences that shed light on the practices of remembering and forgetting both individuals and society. How can the situations such as staying stuck in the past , pursuing and longing for the past, inability to accept the absence of losses, inability to communicate with oneself and environment be narrated? How do the vividness, fractures and delusiveness of memory to the stories reflect? How do traumas affect the characters’ acts of remembering and forgetting while recalling the registered information? The approach of the author regarding the chain of the past, present and future is questioned while seeking the answer for those questions.
